Student Mentoring Conference

Southeastern Student Mentoring Conference in Gerontology and Geriatrics

The Gerontology Institute is proud sponsor of the Southeastern Student Mentoring Conference in Gerontology and Geriatrics, hosted by the University of Georgia Institute of Gerontology.  The Student Mentor Conference celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2014 and is one of the longest running conferences in the nation geared towards student mentorship. Each each year the faculty of the Gerontology Institute mentor students as they gain experience in presenting on scholarly work.

Current Gerontology Institute students interested in attending the Student Mentor Conference should contact a faculty member. Student seed grants are available for those students wanting to attend and present posters on their research. For more information about the Student Mentoring Conference, please click here.
