
What is a "Good Life" with Dementia? Implications for Individuals, Families, Communities and Society
The Gerontology Institute had the pleasure of having Dr. Laura Gitlin as our distinguished speaker for the 2019 Barbara Payne Lectureship in Gerontology.
Dr. Gitlin is an applied research sociologist and distinguished professor at Drexel University as well as the founding director of the John Hopkins University Center for Innovative Care in Aging. Dr. Gitlin is nationally and internationally recognized for her research on developing, evaluating and implementing novel home and community-based approaches that improve the quality of life of persons with dementia and their family caregivers, enhance daily functioning in older adults with disability, and address mental health disparities.
