Clinical Expertise
Dr. Rowe has worked as an occupational therapist in various areas of adult and geriatric care including acute care, inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation, long term care, burns, hands, and psychiatric care, areas with an emphasis in neurological disorders. She is also a Certified Brain Injury Specialist Trainer.
Research Interests
Dr. Rowe’s research focus is on current neurorehabilitation interventions after stroke for the hemiparetic upper extremity. She is also interested in knowledge translation.

Funding
- TRANScranial direct current stimulation for POst-stroke motor Recovery - a phase II sTudy (TRANSPORT 2). Funded by NIH StrokeNet Clinical Trials and Biomarker Studies for Stroke Treatment, Recovery, and Prevention (U01). Co-Investigator for standardizing all evaluators and maintaining ongoing fidelity for the Fugl-Meyer Upper Extremity (FM-UE), Wolf Motor Function Test, and the Stroke Impact Scale, and adjudicating all scores of the FM-UE as the primary outcome measure. Granted $104,075 subaward from August 2018 through July 2022.
- Interdisciplinary Comprehensive Arm Rehabilitation and Evaluation (ICARE). Funded jointly by NIH/NINDS (primary) and NICHD; Grant No. U01NS056256. Conducted certification of all blinded evaluators for correct administration of the Wolf Motor Function Test (WMFT), and assisted in scoring of the functional ability scale portion of the WMFT. March 2009 through February 2016.
